The architecture of Phát Diệm church is a blend of Vietnamese and European architectural styles called the "eclectic architectural style". Although a church, it was built with pagoda type roofs in traditional Vietnamese temple architecture. ==Location== The cathedral is located in the Lưu Phương commune in the Phat Diem town, a catholic area also called Kim Son. It is about 29 km south east of Ninh Binh and 121 km from Hanoi.
